Deciding on a simple layout for our poster campaign..
We want to create a simplistic poster of which we can then apply different printing techniques to it.
We want to create a simplistic poster of which we can then apply different printing techniques to it.
We decided we really liked the type aligned to the left along with the paper type and the information of the paper.
We also wanted to have all the ideas of what you could do with the paper down the edge of the page... However where to put them??
In my opinion i think it looks better aligned right to create a clean edge of the page, however sophie suggested to have 'it' on the end of each word, for example: Fold 'it'. Which i think is a good idea and creates a good concept however we are not sure if it fits into the design properly.

-where these people would be
-what are they doing and where
-what would interest them into volunteering

GOOD is .... The Butterwick Children's Hospice.
Why?
Persuade people to volunteer at the Hospice.
A group of..
both men and women from 19 - 35.
That..
becoming a volunteer is a positive thing to do.
In order to achieve this i will produce..
mails shots, possible a book/leaflet (leaflet could be a fold up poster and informational product?)
i want to collect promotional pictures.
This will be produced using..
Pad Printing, Lithography, Embossing & Die Cutting.
Why?
- its funded through self driven fundraising.
- the team work together to make the hospice work.
- lets the families rest from 24/7 care.
- a safe place for the ill children to play and interact with others.
- a lot of facilities for the children ie the light room.

More ideas...
Maybe a pack for the children on their first visit to the hospice?
Something given to the children?
Something for the charity within the hospice?
Do a workshop within the charity? An event promoting the hospice and what it does for people.
Promote the charity.
Re-branding, campaigns for more volunteers
Or to raise money for the charity?
Advertise the events going on within the charity?
I think i'm going to go with the promoting side, promote the hospice & becoming a volunteer and what this could mean for them to not just the charity.

Butterwick Childrens Hospice.
why is it good?
-because it is helping families having a break from care 24hours a day.
-because its a volunteer based program
-because families need this facility
-because the children have some fun with other children
-because it is needed

10 New things we think are good:
1. smell of fresh bread
2. being inside when its bad weather
3. winding up my brother
4. the green starbursts
5. being warm
6. positivity
7. jacket potatoes
8. pay day
9. family time
10. inventive fancy dress.
We then did an exercise in a group where we merged what we thought was good together to come up with a group 10 things we thought were good. With these top 10 we had to state why we thought they were good. Then we passed it on to another group and thy had to write why they weren't good.
We did this because from the negatives of a subject you can come up with more positives, and more things that are good about that subject.
Also keep asking yourself questions:
How can your good be seen as bad? and how can i make that a positive?
What parts of it are good?
How do you want to convey your idea?
Think about:
Tone of Voice: inform, persuade, educate.
Target Audience:
-who are you targeting?
-where would they be?
