LOGO..

Im quite happy with this design!!

Now i want to experiment with different colours and also maybe play around with the type in the centre!
Logo Ideas..

I want something fun, with images also as it has to relate to children of a young age.
Therefore has to be fun yet informative.

I quite like the idea of making an alphabet of fruit and veg! However i am uncertain that this along with everything else I am hoping to do wouldn't fit in the time scale.

I really like this logo below at the bottom! I like the idea of having the plate as it were at the front with illustrations of the products the target audience would use/make.

Now I think I will work on this design and make this digital and see if it looks as good as I would like.

Initial drawing of veg to then take onto the computer..

So to begin making a logo..

Out of these typefaces I think I like the 9th one down. It is quite fun to relate to the children Also quite easy to read.

To actually achieve children's interest in growing veg I needed to find out what veg they actually like most and can focus on them.

I found this survey done on the internet which is very helpful:

Apples, spuds and roast dinners top of the class with children, new survey reveals

03/09/2004

Roast dinners, apples and spuds come out on top as the firm favourites with children when it comes to what they like to eat, with curries, sprouts and pineapples at the bottom of the pile, according to a new survey released today by The Stroke Association.

The Stroke Association conducted a survey of children aged 4 to 16 years old to understand what foods they polished off their plates, how often, and what they pushed to one side. The survey sampled over 900 children across England and Wales over eight weeks.

The survey was conducted as part of The Stroke Association's forthcoming Stroke Awareness Week, which runs from 4th-10th October 2004. This year's theme is 'Eat a Rainbow-Beat a Stroke' and is particularly aimed at children aged 4-11 years old. Eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day has been shown to reduce a person's risk of stroke by a third. Stroke Awareness Week aims to help children understand the benefits of eating a colourful diet full of fruit and vegetables and gives them the tools to do it.

Summarising the questions asked:

2. 20% of respondents chose Grapes
3. 12% of respondents chose Bananas

Concept crit
For this crit I was with Arran, Will and Ben and i got a lot of constructive criticism which focussed my idea and also gave me different ways to take the project and things to think about. Overall was a really good crit and I came out with a lot to think about.

Chosen brief & Ideas.

Thursday, 5 May 2011

So to gather some inspiration i headed to Homebase in search of an idea of what was already out there and what kind of products they sell for kids.

I found a really small section for kids! So there is my opportunity!

From my visit I found the actual winner f the briefs designs for the original brief I had chosen to edit.

From this it gave me many extra ideas along with the in-store section for the kids such as:

Glove packaging
Little tubs to take home
Possibly a bag?
